Curated by Ricardo Reverón Blanco and Gemma Rolls-Bentley, Labours of Love is a ground-breaking exhibition made possible with the generous support of Patrick Holmes, welcoming national-profile queer visual artists to Portsmouth.
The exhibition explores the deep and complex relationship between love and work in the queer community. Love, for many queer individuals, is not simply a natural or effortless emotion, but a powerful act of defiance, perseverance, and self-determination.
Got what it takes to snatch the crown, win the title of Portsmouth’s Next Drag Superstar and sashay your way onto the HB Main Stage at UK Pride ‘25?
Join past winners such as Brenda Rant and get the opportunity to perform multiple times across the 4 week competition culminating in the Grand Finale on 18 April.
The QTOPIA market. is going to be so good with all of the amazing creative makers, traders and artists involved. We are very pleased to announce the new venue for the market at Playland on Commercial Road, so come and join us on Saturday 19th April from 11am-4pm!!
Thanks to our friends at Portsmouth Creates and Artswork we're going to be using the old amusement arcade for our market before they transform it into a new youth-led creative space for the city.
It's FREE entry to the market and we'll also be joined by @badgecafe all day to go and make your own collaged button badge.
Joining us from London, artist Ben Walters will be on hand at the QTOPIA Market running his ‘Queer Utopian Hangout’ where you can get crafty and make some beautiful badges.
