Accessibility

Is the site accessible?

The site is largely flat and accessed via drop kerbs, open plan with plenty of quieter spaces, has a raised platform in the VIP area, and we have accessible toilets in multiple locations. If your accessibility needs aren’t met, we’d be keen to hear your feedback to hello@portsmouthpride.org.uk

Is there any Accessible Viewing?

Yes - We are pleased to announce that there will be an accessible viewing platform at this year's event.

Is there BSL Support?

Yes - There will be BSL support on both our stages throughout the day.

Is there a designated quiet area?

As our site is open plan and without fenced borders, we don’t have a designated area, but there are plenty of quiet places in the area, if you need a break from the large number of people we’re expecting.

General Questions

How much are tickets?

Portsmouth Pride is a free event. However, you can purchase VIP and Meet & Greet tickets in advance.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, there will also be food stalls and a bar available on the day. There will be veggie / vegan and gluten free vendors at the event.

Can I have a BBQ?

Unfortunately, BBQ’S & Stoves are not permitted in the event area.

Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking around Southsea Common along the seafront, plus two large car parks near Clarence Pier.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed on the Common but please keep all dogs on a leash. Service dogs are permitted throughout the site.

Is there a Cash Machine?

There is no cash machine on site. Palmerston Road with cash machines is a short distance away, there are also cash point at Clarence Pier.

Can I bring a chair?

Yes, you can bring folding chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy Pride through the day. We just ask you to be mindful of other people around you.

Can I bring a Tent or Gazebo?

Unfortunately, these are not permitted in the event area, so that everyone attending can enjoy the event.

Lost Property

During the event Lost property is located at the welfare hub by the control tower. Please take any lost property you find to them or visit them if you’ve lost something.

Media, Cameras & Recording

We allow amateur cameras to be brought onto the site to take photos for personal use. Professional filming equipment or large camera accessories such as large lenses and tripods are not permitted.

Any photography or footage captured at the event cannot be used for commercial purposes.

Everyone attending the event acknowledges that they likely to be filmed, recorded and/or photographed and the resulting content publicly disseminated across a range of media (including social media) for promotional purposes.

VIP and Meet & Greet

How do I get my VIP wristband?

VIP wristbands can be on the Friday between 14:00-18:00 Hrs or on the day at accreditation. Please check your emails as this information will be sent out to you prior to the event.

Where do I go for Meet & Greet?

Meet & Greets will take place in the Meet & Greet area at the rear of the backstage compound.
