GIANT FLAG TOUR

Through March & April

Locations across the city

See if you can spot our 60m long Pride flag as it tours iconic locations across Portsmouth before it leads the Portsmouth Pride Parade on 7th June.

The flag, sewn by the LGBTQ+ community in workshops funded by Portsmouth City Council, is a visual timeline of the development of the Pride flag throughout history.

From 1978 with Gilbert Baker’s original 8-stripe flag to 2021 with Valentino Vecchietti’s Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag you’re sure to see the flag out and about.

KNEES UP

Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd March

New Theatre Royal

Hosted by Downtown Pompey, Knees Up is their biggest show to date, channelling a cabaret-variety-Saturday-night-ITV-at-the-Palladium kinda show.

Filling the auditorium with glitz and glam, the show celebrates 5 years of Downtown Pompey with ways to get involved with performing, dancing, developing your comedy/ burlesque/drag or simply buying a ticket to come along.

Put on a sparkly top, sing at the top of your lungs, and dance the night away.

QUIVERS & FRIENDS

Friday 14th March

Hampshire Boulevard

Join a stunning evening of drag talent hosted by Quivers, ‘professional poofta’ and award-winning Isle of Wight drag artist. You can expect high-camp puppets, 90s references galore and most likely an obscure musical instrument of some sort...
